Parisian-based couture brand showed its exquisite fall-winter ready-to-wear collection proving that quite luxury trend will last as long as the craving for elegance.

What a blessing to have some anchor amid the chaos of this everchanging but still so predictable world, which the fashion industry reflects every season in its seasonal weeks.

Having been following Emanuel Ungaro House for years, every time we come to discover its new collection wishing to get inspired and bring us to a safe place. The place where summer is endless, the women are elegant and the men can propose to you a glass of bubbles.

This place is unreal, but has its charm, the charm of lovely escapism fashion used to provide to the audience once.

What if clothes existed just for the sake of beauty and comfort, and, yes, subtle “old-school” seduction?

No, it would not nowadays, when a designer has rather sent a strong message or surprised us with a fantastic performance or a bunch of influencers who save the show even when the rest is lacking.

Ungaro’s creative director Kobi Halperin seems not to be needed to prove anything to the brand’s clientele, who stays loyal to his designs for pragmatic reasons: impeccable quality of garments, signature “Italian” colors, timeless cuts, and elevated shopping experience.

All this we exclusively enjoy twice a year during ready-to-wear fashion week when we come to the Avenue Montaigne in the Triangle d’Or district of Paris at the decent to be called “couture” reception of the Maison.

This time Halperin dived into vibrant Spanish aesthetics to develop a collection where Dali paintings meet toreadors and flamenco dancers. The starting point has become Salvador Dalí’s Meditative Rose. Thus, the rose, the designer’s favorite flower is very present in the lineup.

“The roses have some sadness and something positive mixed together. That’s what’s happening all over the world right now”, he said in our exchange at the presentation.

Red and gold are omnipresent in the fall-winter 2024 collection, together with dominating all over the black catwalks.

Delicate ruffles and fantasy headgear adorned with roses, gorgeous bride suit (a white fitted long dress with a white jacket), rich flowery embroidery, in all these elements the elegance reigns. “Fashion is returning to the elegance right now. I hope with this collection we help women to feel beautiful, and when women feel beautiful we can have a better life.”
