Ready to Wear Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week Fall-Winter 2023/2024. Our editor-in-chef choice.

In variety of collections presented at the latest Paris Fashion Week for fall-winter 2023/24 it’s a not an easy task to choose the one which marked your attention and get into your memory.

Nevertheless, Enfants Riches Deprimes (ERD) definitely became the one which stood out at this frenetic marathon of creativity and showboating.
It should be mentioned, probably firsts, that the gloomy time we are living in collectively, is the perfect match with the dark aesthetic of the brand. Without irony, but rather cynically we can affirm, that that’s the “golden hour” of the Creative Director of ERD, Henri Levy.
In one of our backstage interviews after the show he said: “I’m inspired by the pain”. These is so much pain in the world right now, that this world is Levy’s oyster nowadays.

Thus, is the latest proposition, the designer pushed the boundaries to their further limits. The looks represent a clever mixture of the German military cuts with …well, what I would define as the revisited Soviet elements. Subversive? – for sure, but still coherent and authentic. The line-up is perfectly built, the casting (consisting mostly of model-friends of the creative director, with the mutual loyalty beyond the political ever changing winds) is inclusive, gender fluidity is omnipresent.
Mostly dark, with some red inserts, highly sensual; it’s all about the details and combinations.

One of the best shows (if not the best) of Enfants Riches Deprimes to the date.
