Maurizio Galante SS2011

Jan 25, 11 Maurizio Galante SS2011

From the design of architecture to the architecture of design.

Maurizio Galante believes that the clothes we wear have a second life: seemingly simple in two-dimensional world forms come to life as soon as they are put on.

Soft and flowing garment design embraces the body, protecting it and emphasizing the movements and gestures.

Such an approach to fashion is not surprising because creating haute couture, Maurizio relies on his experience in interior design and architecture that occupies him when he does not work on fashion. Balancing the line between pragmatism and absurd, Maurizio Galante relies primarily on the shape and colour.

The collection consists entirely of jackets and boleros. Its essence is manifested in the details. Origami, legs and face of the models painted in bright colours, large stones and metal constructions mounted on the head and imitating earrings, exotic feathers, organza and gauze pleating lend the collection its ethnic orientation with elements of Baroque.
